We are pleased to announce that the outline planning application for the Embankment Cardiff masterplan was submitted to Cardiff Council earlier today.
Plans for the scheme were first released to the public in January 2021 as part of a month-long public consultation period that garnered great community interest. The proposals seek to deliver sustainable regeneration of the 40-acre site, creating up to 2,500 new homes alongside 54,000 sqm of business space as well as opportunities for leisure, hospitality and retail uses.
We have worked closely with Cardiff Council, planners Turley, architects 3D Reid, landscape designer Planit-IE and Stantec over the past two years to create a vision that we hope will transform this underused area of Cardiff into a thriving new district for the city and its residents.
The proposals now sit with Cardiff Council for determination.
